The weekend is almost here, but when you’re stuck inside on a sunny Friday, the day doesn’t half drag. So why not bring the outside in with this lovely little Tree Generator created by local tech-whiz Binary Max.
This Is Hastings met Max at MEC Makers – a free, bi-weekly, show and tell for local creatives held up at the University building. Its been great to see all the incredible work being created on our back door, and will be showcasing many more of the local talents scouted at this event.
With maths, code (and we think a little black magic) Max has created this lovely little toy. You can create an infinite amount of tree variations by changing the values of its Thickness, Number of Branches, Length etc. Max has guaranteed that no two trees will ever be the same – unfortunately This Is Hastings hasn’t got so much free time so as to put this guarantee through its paces.
This is currently a work in progress, with ambition to add wind blowing through the leaves, as well as the odd little tree critter scampering about. If you’re feeling a little bit more psychedelic – have a play on Square Chase ( … you chase the square with your mouse) – painfully addictive and unrewarding all in one.
