This Is Hastings often finds itself green with envy at all the young talent this town has to offer, so we were tickled pink to catch up with budding makeup and face paint artist Charlotte Rogers.
Currently studying Foundation Art & Design at Sussex Coast College Hastings, Charlotte describes herself as a self taught makeup artist – experimenting with makeup and face paint, while also specialising in sculpture and film.
In February Charlotte created what looked like masks (from face paint) for Fat Tuesday
‘s revelry, while in March, she worked on the Stables Theatre
production ‘Of Mice And Men.’
Most recently, Charlotte has been working alongside foundation Fashion & Photography student Zahra Rose
to create various very impressive looks, as well as working with a fashion student for the, not to be missed, end of year Fashion Show
at Sussex Coast College
, in June.
With many a grand plan for the future, Charlotte is looking to produce a whole host of Jack in the Green
themed faces, threatening to paint “anyone and everyone” in a bid to build up her portfolio in preparation for university and commercial work applications.
When not out painting the town red (and all other colours of the rainbow) you might be lucky enough to meet Charlotte working like a trooper in the Revolver Lounge, on George Street.
