Yesterday, All My Troubles Seemed So Far Away

This Is Hastings was lucky enough to attend Beatles Day 2012 yesterday. With over 60 bands, and 300+ musicians it was a day for all Beatles (and music) lovers to savour. Now in its thirteenth year, the day raised £16,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which is excellent news.

But don’t worry if you missed it, luckily This Is Hastings was on hand to film the heck out of proceedings. First offering being Hastings’ rockers Hornet. The local lads put on an epic show, shaking the White Rock Theatre to its core, with their unique take on Get Back, Money and I Saw Her Standing There. But don’t take our word for it. See for yourself:

We’ve got plenty more video highlights from Beatles Day 2012. So stay tuned.

Welcome to Hastings

Hello and welcome to This Is Hastings.

We’re a brand new online resource for all the amazing stuff in our little seaside town has to offer. From local must attend events, to secret hidden gems TIH wants Hastings to be known for more than its 1066 heraldry and its run-down reputation.

We want TIH to be an interactive experience, so please get in touch. Anything that makes you think “This is Hastings!” we want to know about it. The site is obviously under heavy construction, but check back regularly as things will move fast!
