Dog Blog – Dobby

Published on May 20, 2012 in Dog Blog

STATISTICS:

Name:
Dobby

Age:
1 year

Breed:
Jack Russell

General Info:
This Is Hastings met Dobby along with Scruffy outside the Hastings Arms the other day.

Dobby was an incredibly excitible little pup – chock full of beans, with no time to sit around posing for cameras.

When not walking on George Street, Dobby is rather fond of chasing rabbits.

Day Tripper – Lavdim Zylfiu

This Is Hastings had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lavdim Zylfiu this weekend. This exceptionally nice chap was representing his homeland of Kosovo at the WMF World Adventure Golf Masters.

Before we could even introduce ourselves, Lavdim kindly presented us with a pair of lovely dye cast Kosovan flag badges, as well as a Kosovan exchange flag (like at the start of football matches), all we could offer in return was a thisishastings.com card …

Hidden Hastings – Shoot From The Hip

This Is Hastings has been alerted to a number of new leads on the Scrabbleman trail. The first of which we suspect to be a copy-cat (we shall look into its legitimacy in time) … But this fine fellah’ looks like the real deal!

They Got The Guns, We Got The Numbers” is seemingly a quote from ‘5 to 1’ by The Doors.

Scrabbleman, again seems to be extending his horizons with his choice of artistic mediums – in this instance using a mini toy gun rather than spelling it out – a very nice touch.

It can be found along St Leonards seafront by the carpark.

It was spotted by Twitterer @mmgrad and snapped by Andy Gunton. So big thanks to them!

This week, Parlimentary Jazz Album of the Year award winner Lianne Carroll will be taking to the stage at 7.30pm with her enchanting Jazz / RnB stylings.

Lianne can often be seen doing the local music rounds. But an open stage performance will be an absolute treat for one and all.

Let’s Eat Local – Di Pola’s

Although the summer is somewhat hesitant to arrive this year, when the sunshine does appear there’s nothing better than cooling down with a tasty ice-cream!

This Is Hastings headed to Di Pola’s in the Old Town (access from George St – next door to The Optical Lounge or the seafront) to sample its wide variety of frozen deliciousness.

The three combinations for this particular visit were Strawberry & Mango, Passionfruit & Citrus Orange and Salty Peanut & Malteaser.
