This Is Hastings @ The Lighting Of The Beacon

As part of the Jubilee celebrations, This Is Hastings headed up to the East Hill last night to witness the ceremonial lighting of the beacon. Crowds gathered as the mighty torch was lit, and in turn inspired beacons in the far distance to take up flame – creating a domino effect towards Eastbourne and beyond.

After previewing a number of the tasty morsels on offer, in the Jack In The Green Survival Guide, This Is Hastings thought it only proper to sample some of the edible gems for ourselves. This Is Hastings @ Jack In The Green (Procession)

Once The Jack had been released, the Jack In The Green procession was underway! This Is Hastings squeezed into the bulging crowds to catch a glimpse. The streets of the Old Town was a wash of smiling faces (both young and old), as the procession drummed, danced and jangled its way towards its final destination.
