This Is Hastings joined the toast of the town at Sussex Coast College this evening to stare at the walls – incidentally covered in toast.
Printing the face of her majesty the Queen (in celebration of her Jubilee) on every slice took over two weeks (apparently due to bottle necking, the toasting took longer than the printing), while installation of the 8,300 slices took just over two days!
Although we fear a mass seagull attack on the horizon, we are assured that the toast is rather unappealing and inedible having been sprayed with hairspray (yum!) Although this gives them an incredible three year shelf / wall life.
